Dissangue is an invented word, from the Italian verb ‘dissanguare’, meaning ‘to bleed’ in English. Could it be a mixture of blood or an absence of blood? Bleeding, or getting rid of something?
This is the starting point of the work created by Andrea Faccioli (aka Cabeki) and Andrea Gastaldello (aka Mingle): emptying everything, with nothing left to satisfy them. They are losing themselves for their own artistic survival, voluntarily depriving themselves of their own blood. Their primary vital need is to release their own melancholic and dreamy language in an ambient mantra and express it in its primal urgency...The music is played, improvised and nothing more. The idea was born on 20th June 2012 in a series of improvisations played live at Bunker Studio in Rubiera (Reggio Emilia, Italy) and recorded by Andrea Rovacchi.
A path which is dark, yet at the same time minimal, sour, intimate and romantic. Eight tracks with additional production, mixing and mastering by Eraldo Bernocchi (Sigillum S, Harold Budd, Robin Guthrie, Obake, Metallic Taste Of Blood, Bill Laswell and many others).
