about

Marco Machera: Vocals, Treatments

Andrea Gastaldello (Mingle): Keyboards, Electronics, Treatments

Andrea and Marco have met online, by chance. A good friendship, mutual respect and an album were born. The two have managed to merge their musical styles, apparently distant from each other, in a mixture of Trip Hop, Ambient and melancholic minimalism, where each track conveys an emotional picture. Machera's lyrics take us by hand into a dark, melancholic world, but there’s more. A certain humour lies between the words. The typical black humour of those well aware of the world being a strange place, those who are aware of being part of it. Andrea's music forms the soundtrack to all of this: dense, static, pulsating. 15SS is an inner journey, not only to be listened to, but to be observed with eyes wide open.

Marco Machera is an Italian musician, composer and producer, currently living in Brussels, Belgium. He has released albums as a solo artist and has co-founded the band EchoTest, together with renowned American bassist Julie Slick. During his career, Marco has been involved in countless collaborations, both live and in the studio, with internationally acclaimed artists. His session work includes recordings and live shows with Italian composer Teho Teardo, heavy rock guitarist Paul Gilbert, the chamber progressive rock ensemble TROOT, Chrysta Bell (Texan chanteuse and femme fatale, long time collaborator of film director David Lynch) – just to name a few. As a solo artist, Marco has opened shows for Marillion, Stick Men, Adrian Belew, ORk and more. He is a sound explorer and explorer of the world.

Mingle is the name of Andrea Gastaldello’s electronic project, eclectic performer and composer, from the area surrounding Mantova, he choosed to live in Verona and from the fogs of this Italian plain comes the inspiration of his musical works: a melanchonic journey in the deep of the soul.
